I want to be social? I think...

Ugh, I think I've been in a funk ever since I got back home on Sunday. I don't want to do half of the things I normally do like blog or read or lay about in bed or continue watching my shows. I don't even know what I want to do anymore, but I think I want to go outside or hangout with people or both.

I think these past weeks of going out of town and hanging out with my friends has made me used to being around people more compared to my usual limit of being around people before needing a recharge by myself since I've been pretty much hanging out with people nonstop since school ended.

Not gonna lie, I think David also plays a large part in this funk since whenever I wasn't physically hanging out with people, I would at least be texting him all day, so I was always in contact with someone. Now he's gone to Vietnam for six weeks, and I'm trying to get used to not being able to text him randomly and getting a dorky reply.

And that's the funny thing; we've only started texting and hanging out a little over two and a half weeks ago. I didn't expect for him to be such a constant presence in my life so quickly. I'm actually kind of glad that we didn't get to hangout for much longer or else I would probably miss him even more while he's gone. XP

I guess I'll use the six weeks to see how much I like him, lol. See if I'm still interested in the awkward giraffe when he comes back. XD And vice versa now that I think about it. He could lose interest in me as well... Eh, we'll see.

I just know that I definitely won't forget about him while he's gone. He left me his phone so that I could keep watch over his village in Clash of Clans. It happened really randomly and I still don't know what to think about it.

Like, we were hanging out on our date that wasn't really a date/double date with my sis and her bf who were in their room at the time, and he asked me if I wanted to look after his village while he was away. I thought that he was just gonna give me his info so that I could log on as him on my phone or something, but he said that he'd just give me his phone since he wasn't going to bring it to Vietnam anyway.

So I just said okay thinking that he'd give it to me the day before he left, but he gave me his phone right before he left my house that night! I was confused again because I figured he'd still need it for tomorrow, but he just said that it was fine.

So yeah, when I showed Shelle his phone later that night, she was super surprised that he left his phone with me. It didn't hit me until then just how much he trusted me to give me his phone. Either he really doesn't have anything to hide, or he trusts that I won't mess around with his phone while he's gone, or both.

I dunno. I'm just ruminating on stupid stuff, lol.

I should go and do something. I already did my productive thing for the day, cleaning the house since Mommy's coming home on Friday. But still, I should get started on those blogs about my New York trip and Momocon. Or something.

Still busy, but happy news!

So I've been kind of keeping myself busy these past few days and totally forgetting to blog about everything... But I think once everything settles down next week and I start going to summer school, I'll have more free time to write everything down, lol. I saved a lot of Snapchats as evidence. XD

But there's something I want to say because I can't help myself and feel like I just want to tell everyone about it, lol. David and I hung out for the longest time yesterday (I think from 3-12), and we had an awkward talk. We're gonna give the whole dating thing a shot since we're still getting to know each other. :D

Lol, I like hanging out with him because it's easy and fun, so regardless if we work out or not, I don't really mind since I at least made a good friend. :)

Anyway, I gotta go eat something before Shanice and Jackie come over so we can help each other work on our cosplays, lol.

Too young to party... -__-"

Finally! Access to a computer and a chance to blog! Lol, this is only because all of my cousins and sis and friend are out drinking, and I'm not old enough to be allowed in bars in New York. Apparently, you have to be 21 over here, while you only have to be 18+ to get into bars in Georgia.

So yeah, I've just been chilling with my aunts, who are knocked out asleep, in their hotel room since the rest of the girls have finished getting ready and left. I can't believe that I'm only 6 months too young to do anything with the rest of my cousins, although I'm not sure how much fun I would be since I've never really gotten drunk before....

But yeah, so far, New York has been really fun. I'm exhausted every night because we walked so much to get everywhere, but we've been to a lot of cool places and eaten at really good restaurants and stuff. I wished my camera wasn't broken so that I could have taken more pics, but I doubt I would have used it much anyway, lol. It's the same amount of a hassle I have taking out my phone and waiting for it to load before taking a picture. :P

I'll upload some pics later when I get home later today. :)

much busy, much confuse

So much has happened and so much that has yet to happen! There is not enough time to write it all down since everything is happening one after another. I just hope that I can remember everything when I do find time to blog. XD

But seriously, now I'm not sure about the whole David thing, and it's kind of driving me crazy cuz I just don't know man, lol. So many outside factors and comments, and I'm just not sure where we stand, where I want us to stand, and if my feelings are my own. Much confuse.

That aside, Shelle and I are going to New York today! I'm so excited! Woke up ridiculously early around 6:30, and I can only reason it to anticipation for the day, lol.

This month just isn't meant for blogging, I guess, lol.

I'll see you soon though.

Top Ten Tuesday: Books I Almost Put Down But Didn't

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by the Broke and Bookish.

Not gonna lie, I almost put down these books because I didn't like the characters at the beginning or didn't like the writing style at first or thought that the plot was too weird in the beginning. I'm glad that I stuck to them in the end, since they were pretty good books.

Another update in Snapchats

It's been a while. :P

On one hand, many things have happened; on the other, I wouldn't say that most of them were very important, so I feel like I've already forgotten things. So let's just start from the beginning and see what I remember. :3

While I was doing laundry to pack for my week-long trip to Atlanta, I noticed that I was wearing a lot of gray and neutral colors lately, lol.

That Saturday was the first time that I drove to Atlanta all by myself! The driving wasn't bad until we hit traffic, and I was kind of hangry since I didn't eat breakfast, so I was kind of pissed off at all of the slow drivers. But yeah, I drove my family to Atlanta, and we ate lunch with Shelle and her bf before my dad dropped me off at the dentist to get my cavities filled.

My parents left with my bro to do some grocery shopping since they were going home later that day, and I spent the rest of the day hanging out with Shelle and Kyle. The first thing we did after my cavities were filled was to go get pastries and bubble tea even though my mouth was still numb, lol. I got mango bubble tea because I love mangoes too much to pass it up.

The next day, Shelle, Nicole, and I went to Piedmont Park to enjoy the sun, tan a little, and hangout. We packed a bunch of snacks, books, and two blankets for all of us to pile on. The park was fun! There was a lot more people than I expected, but I forgot that it was a Sunday, so of course there were many people out enjoying their weekend like we were, lol. But yeah, it took us around half an hour of walking around trying to find a good spot to layout our blanket and chillax in.

I spent the next two days just lazing about at my grandma's house since Shelle was at work and because my cousins had finals/classes or work as well.

On Wednesday, Shelle took the day off of work so that we could hangout before the concert at night. We planned to eat lunch at The Vortex with Kyle around noon, but since we were running late, we pushed the time back to 12:45. Ironically, even with traffic, we came earlier than expected, so we went to this cool art supply store near The Vortex that was right across the street from where we parked.

We both ended up buying some really nice pens and this stack of moleskin notebooks with cool quotes on them that we later split in half. I really like the notebook because it was easier to plan and sort things out in it than trying to type it all down in my phone, which is still pretty laggy and retarded at the most inconvenient times. -__-"

It was my first time eating at The Vortex, and I was not surprised at why it was so popular. The service was good and fast, and the food was delicious. I really loved my Ragin' Cajun burger, although I may be biased because I was starving, lol.

Because Shelle couldn't find the concert tickets that she printed out forever ago, we had to go to Staples to print them out. I ended up buying another pack of nice fine-tipped pens that were on sale...as if I don't have enough. :P

Then we drove back to the parking lot that we already paid for the whole day, grabbed our bag of snacks and a blanket, and walked to Piedmont Park since it was only 20 minutes away walking distance. Since it was the middle of the day in the middle of the week, there weren't that many people out, so it was easy to find a spot in the shade to lay out our blanket and read for two hours and enjoy the breeze.

Then we packed up, walked back to Shelle's car, dropped off our stuff, and started walking to Takorea, this Mexican-Korean fusion restaurant that Kyle took Shelle out to eat earlier that week. We split a bibimbap since it was a huge portion and each got different tacos. The food was so good, although tacos were pretty pricey. It was around $4-6 for one taco!

After we ate and digested for a bit, we headed to the concert. We arrived at the parking garage 30 minutes early, but Shelle wanted to stay in her car for a while to charge her phone since it died, so we didn't leave until almost 8 o'clock, which was when the concert started.

When we came, the first band, Midnight Red was already performing. I didn't think that they were near the end of the set list, so I didn't take any pictures of them. That was also mainly because I couldn't stop cooing at their boy-band-ness, lol. Their dance was just too cute and simple compared to the edgier, tougher dancing I'm used to seeing in Kpop groups.

It really sucked that we only got to listen to one and a half of their songs, because I really liked Midnight Red's songs and knew more of them compared to Cassio Monroe. I only recognized a couple of their songs, and while I enjoyed the rest of them, I didn't take any pics of them either since I was trying to save my phone battery for The Wanted afterwards.

And it was worth it! The Wanted was so good! They sang so well, and it was obvious that they were having a good time performing, too, with all of the conversation that occurred between each song. I knew almost all of their songs so I sang along to most of them, and even though I wasn't jumping up and down like a lot of their fans in the front, I really enjoyed myself.

I took a lot of pictures, but not as many as I did for Emblem3 now that I think about it. Unfortunately, most of my pics have at least one blurry member in them or too bright lights. I really can't wait until October so I can upgrade my phone and get one with a better camera. Lol, there was this one girl in front of us that Shelle and I kept on noticing because she had such a huge phone with great resolution; we were mocking her for the amount of selfies she took during the concert but super jealous of the great pics she was taking of the band.

On Thursday, Megan came over and we hungout. We went to Ikea, because she wanted to get some new bed sheets that she saw online, and I wanted to go because I had never been there before. It was so cool! And massive! I wanted to redecorate my room with so many things, lol.

On Friday, I hungout with Shanice and Nicole. We went to Discover Mills to find a Mother's Day present for Nicole and window shopped for a bit before we went movie hopping. We watched Neighbors, which was hilarious before going to watch The Amazing Spiderman 2.

Unfortunately, while we were seated and watching previews for that movie, Shanice realized that she didn't have her phone on her. After searching the bathroom and theater that we were in for Neighbors and not finding it, Shanice left us to go ask the staff if her phone turned up. Luckily, one of the staff found it under the seats in Neighbors, so she got it back, but she didn't get to watch any of the other movies with us.

After watching Spiderman again, I realized that I had a new ship Peter/Harry... Apparently, it's called Parksborn, lol. The bromance was just too cute in the movie that my shipper heart couldn't help but make it more romantic, lol.

Then Nicole and I went to go watch The Other Woman, since she really wanted to watch that, and since I had already seen Divergent. The Other Woman was also hilarious and crazy. I definitely liked it.

But yeah, that's what's been happening for the past week. I've already made some plans and have errands for this week, so yeah, it's also going to be a busy week. Plus, Shelle and I are leaving for New York on Friday!

So much to do, not enough time or money to do everything. D:

Top Ten Tuesday: Book Covers I'd Frame As Pieces of Art

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by the Broke and Bookish.

I just really like these covers. Either I really like how well the fonts compliment the images, I like the color schemes, or I think they're pretty simple yet impacting.

Manga Review: Strobe Edge Vol. 10 (Strobe Edge #10) by Io Sakisaka

Title: Strobe Edge Vol. 10 (Strobe Edge #10)
Author: Io Sakisaka
Pages: 184
Publication: June 5, 2014
Publisher: Viz Media
Summary taken from goodreads:
What is love, anyway? Ninako Kinoshita's friends tell her it's one thing, but Ninako wonders what this mysterious feeling really is. When she meets Ren Ichinose, the handsome, enigmatic guy that all the girls worship; her life takes an unexpected turn. With just a few words and a smile, he changes her world...Ninako loves Ren, but seeing Ando get hurt while protecting her makes her feel sad and confused - to the point where she turns Ren down when he confesses his love for her! Has Ninako lost her chance with Ren? Or will they find a way to be together?
4 STARS - I REALLY LIKED IT

MY REVIEW:

When I first started this series, I never expected to enjoy it so much. I thought that Ninako would continue to be an idiot and that Daiki would never confess to her until way later and that there would be a whole bunch of stupid misunderstandings before the couple finally got together.

I was wrong.

The characters grew and matured and their backstories made their motives and decisions easily understood. And their earnestness and honesty and confusion just made them even more endearing and real.

So yeah, I definitely recommend it for people who enjoy character-driven stories because this series is more of a slow-paced, slice-of-life romance with small outbursts of comic relief and adorable moments.

Gonna be at grandma's

Basically, I'm going to be in Atlanta for the next week at my grandparent's house. That's mainly because Shelle and I are going to The Wanted's concert next Wednesday, so it's easier if I just stay there for a whole week since I'm going up to Atlanta tomorrow for a dentist's appointment and Shelle can just drive me home the next weekend.

Apparently, my grandpa stopped paying for internet since he had no use for it, so there was a while when their house was internetless. Luckily, one of my aunts payed for the internet, so it's back, which means that I can probably update while I'm up there, but who knows. Maybe I'll actually catch up with my reading. :P

Also, I haven't done any packing yet, so I'm not sure if I'm going to bring my laptop or not since I rely on my tablet more whenever I go anywhere. However, a week is a long time, so I probably will bring it just in case.

My last final is tonight! :DDD I just want to get it over with! But stupid Marc, making me wear a dress! Ugh. I'm not wearing heels. :P
