Tumblr Pics 50

I haven't done one of these in a while. :)

But omg, I'm drowning in homework, and what do I do? Watch anime. -__-"

This semester is has so much homework due; it's worse than last semester. Plus, I think that I've really got senioritis. It got pretty bad towards the end of last semester, but it's already begun after the first week of this semester! D: I really need to get my act together, or else I'm really gonna fail and stress out even more about life.

The semester has begun! ;__;

The first week of classes has passed, and I already know that it's going to be a stressful semester. I've got two online classes that require lots of stupid homework and group assignments, another class that's supposed to be easy but requires pretty much daily one-page papers for homework, and although my black and white photography class sounds really fun, I can already tell that it's going to be really challenging. That, and all of my club meetings are really late at night on the days when I finish at noon, which leaves me on campus for an inordinate amount of time. :/

But, this week wasn't bad, since I got to see and hangout with a lot of friends in between classes. And surprisingly, I actually know people in all of my classes--most of them being brothers in my fraternity, lol--so I don't have to awkwardly be the quiet one in class until I finally open up.

In between all of the meetings and homework this week, I finished watching the first part of the Rurouni Kenshin anime on Netflix and watched all three live action movies. They were soo goood. :o The fight scenes were amazing, the soundtrack fit the scenes impeccably, and the actors stayed true to their characters for the most part. And I was really impressed with the way they combined all of the storylines in each movie. Great movies! Definitely recommended!

What really surprised me was the ending song that played during the credits. Omg, they're so good! One Ok Rock's were all used in the credits for each movie, and I fell in love with the band. I'm still listening to all of their music right now, but just listen to "The Beginning", which was used in the first Rurouni Kenshin movie. It's so epic and inspiring! :D

I also really liked "Heartache", which was the ending for the last movie, Rurouni Kenshin: The Legend Ends, so listen to it too! It's a more slow-paced song, and you can really appreciate the vocals and awesome English.

But yeah, I think watching all of these movies has made me re-appreciate Japanese movies, so I think about to watch some more live action movies of anime I've already watched, like Say I Love You, which I found while on YouTube, lol.

TBR Triple Dog Dare

Since I didn't read much last year and still bought too many books for me to read in the last few months, I thought that doing this challenge again would help motivate me to start reading again in addition to finally getting around to reading some of the new books I bought. :)

It works like this….
For the first three months of 2016 read only the books that were already in your TBR stack as of midnight December 31, 2015.
As always, you can include books you’ve ordered but not received yet as well as books you have already placed on reserve at your local library.  You can also make exceptions for certain books that will be published early next year along with book club choices and ARCS as needed.  The TBR Dare has always been about having fun, so make whatever changes to the “rules” you need to to keep it fun.
If you just want to take The TBR Dare for a month, that’s fine, too.  The TBR Triple Dog Dare will run from January 1, 2015 to April 1, 2016.  Technically, it’s not a shopping ban so you can still buy books–you just can’t read them until April 1.
You can sign up here!
  1. Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout
  2. Onyx by Jennifer L. Armentrout
  3. 1/2 Prince vol. 4: The Buskers of Infinite City by Yu Wo
  4. 1/2 Prince vol. 5: A Prince No More by Yu Wo
  5. 1/2 Prince vol. 6: The Great NPC Revolt by Yu Wo
