New Shows/Movies Coming in May

Next month has a lot of awesome movies premiering and tv shows being added onto Netflix that I'm really excited to watch! I'll be done with finals next week, so that gives me roughly three weeks of freedom to do and watch whatever I want until I start summer classes towards the end of May. So you bet I'm going to take advantage of all of the free time to read and watch as many shows as I can, lol.

These are the shows and movies being added to Netflix in May that I want to watch:
  • Sense8 (May 5)
  • Sherlock Series 4 (May 15)
  • Riverdale Season 1 (May 18)
  • Blame! (May 19)
  • Inglourious Basterds (May 19)
  • Joshua: Teenager vs. Superpower (May 26)
  • Supergirl Season 2 (May 30)

Movies premiering in May that I want to watch:
  • Guardians of the Galaxy, vol. 2 (May 5)
  • Baywatch (May 25)
  • Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Men Tell No Tales (May 26)

Book Unhaul (2)

I actually unhauled these books last month, but things got busy, so I'm posting about it now, lol.

Most of these books I've had since junior year of high school, so for at least five or six years now. I figured that if I haven't read it already in that time period, then I'm never going to get around to reading it, no matter how awesome they sounded. However, I'm donating Raging Star because I didn't realize that I already had a copy, so I ended up buying another one a few months ago.

  • Incarceron by Catherine Fisher
  • Behemoth by Scott Westerfeld
  • The False Prince by Jennifer A. Nielsen
  • Raging Star by Moira Young
  • Rampant by Diana Peterfreund
  • Ascendant by Diana Peterfreund
  • The Shifter by Janice Hardy
  • Bamboo People by Mitali Perkins
I donated these to my local library, so I hope that people are enjoying them. :)

Shows I'm Currently Watching: Into the Badlands, Fairy Tail (2014), My Hero Academia

I suddenly got really interested in watching anime again, lol. However, there's also one show that isn't anime that I really should have finished watching weeks ago...

CURRENTLY WATCHING:

I started watching this when it first was added onto Netflix last month because the main protagonist was Asian. Like, it's so hard to find tv shows in the U.S. with Asian representation in them--let alone as the main character! I was going to give that show a shot no matter what just for that reason alone. Plus, season one is only six episodes long, and season two just started airing. I thought that this would be a quick series to watch while I crammed for my accounting test and such, but things got busy with the wedding and classes, and I forgot about this show in between my sudden desire to watch anime, lol. Don't get me wrong, I do like the show though! I watched half of it already, and the plot is interesting enough to keep me hooked to figure out what's going to happen next.

I started watching the first season of Fairy Tail years ago, and out of nowhere, I suddenly wanted to finish watching this anime because I thought that it was completed already. (I was wrong; there's going to be another season sometime this Spring.) But yeah, I fell in love with the huge cast of crazy characters again, got completely immersed in the series, and am on the second season now. All of the arcs have been awesome, except for the filler arcs. They were really boring and undermined how powerful all of the characters became in the previous arcs. I'm currently at one of the filler arcs right now, and it's killing me because it's really not that interesting. I want to skip the episodes and go straight to the next main arc, but I don't like skipping episodes and missing information. :/

I watched season one when it was completed airing last year and loved it so much that I started reading the manga to see what happened next. I kind of stopped reading the manga for the past few months so that I could read the next arc all in one go, so I was happy to find out that season two of this anime came out two weeks ago, because this is a really good arc. There's a lot of character development and fighting scenes, and you get introduced to a lot of interesting new characters, too. There's only two episodes out, which sucks, because of all of the cliffhangers they end on. Even though I already know what's going to happen, I'm still impatient to watch the next episode because I want to see epic fight scenes, lol.

FINISHED WATCHING:

David wanted some white noise to take a nap to, so we chose an anime that we've both watched before. Unfortunately for me, I wasn't that tired to begin with and got immediately sucked into the anime again, just like the first time I watched it, lol. I forgot just how good it was but also how disjointed the first half of the anime was. I mean, it made sense since that arc spanned the length of two years inside the game. Regardless, it was a good anime to rewatch. I cam't wait to watch the movie that just came out once subs are available!

This anime was recently added onto Netflix a week or two ago, so David and I were happy to rewatch it once we found out about it, because it's a great anime. Lol, it's hilarious and ridiculous with great animation and action scenes. Season two is supposed to come out sometime this year, and I am so ready to watch it!
