Shows I'm Currently Watching: Victoria, Miira no Kaikata, Overlord II, & Dame x Prince Anime Caravan

It's been a while since I've done one of these. I actually made this post sometime last year but didn't get around to posting it, so I decided to combine it with my more current shows as well. That's why it probably looks like I've been watching a lot of shows, but not really, lol.

I also decided to tag this as mini reviews as well because they basically are my mini reviews on all of these shows. Long story short, these are all great anime and tv shows that I highly recommend!

CURRENTLY WATCHING:

I started watching this last December, and I really like it! I remember getting immediately sucked into the world and the romance and plot. You could definitely tell just how young Victoria was when she took the throne and how her sheltered life really shaped her personality and interests and the way she wants to rule. I really liked her as the protagonist because of her charisma and sharp wit.

I've said all of these great things about the show, but I haven't even finished the first season yet! I remember just not wanting to watch the next episode halfway through the season. I think it was because I really liked how the last episode I watched ended and wasn't ready for the next rollercoaster of events to happen, lol. Hopefully I will get around to finishing the season, because the second season has already ended.

This is the CUTEST anime ever. I literally die every time I see the little mummy do anything. All of the characters are adorable and funny and sweet. Basically, this anime is like soft fluffy clouds and cotton candy. It's just so sweet and cute and pure, and I feel like a better human being after watching an episode. Watch it immediately.

I was planning on watching this when the season was over so I could just marathon it, but then David started watching it every week, and I had to watch it as well so we could watch it together and talk about it every week, lol. This season has a lot more buildup and characters compared to last season, but I'm definitely enjoying watching it all shape up together towards the end. Not as violent as I was hoping it would be, but there's some really good violent/gory scenes when it does happen.

Lol, I wasn't sure if I was going to like this anime because it sounded like your typical boring reverse harem anime, but I was sure wrong! The main character isn't some super sweet, dense heroine who is boring and predictable. She's loyal and kind, but she's also funny and ironic and sees through people's ridiculousness. Plus, all of the princes are extremely ridiculous to the point of satirical. It's a great spin on your typical royal reverse harems, lol.

FINISHED:

I decided to rewatch the series before I started watching season two to familiarize myself with the characters again, and man, this series as good as the first time I watched it! It reminded me all over again why I liked the anime so much and why I was looking forward to season two when it was announced!

This anime was not what I was expecting! Now I see what the hype was about when it first came out! The main character's so mysterious; you're always wondering what happened to him from the few glimpses you're given, and the other characters are so interesting as well. Definitely a lot surprises and suspense in such a short anime. I hope there's going to be a second season.

I was recommended to watch this anime by both David and Alec a while ago, so I finally started watching after the anime ended. It was definitely like how they described it: cringy and hilarious, lol. Even though the episodes are only 12 minutes long, I could only watch a couple of episodes at a time and had to take breaks in between because some of the characters and scenarios were too cringy and ridiculous to comprehend. Lol, the student council president and the delinquent were my favorite couple.

I've been wanting to watch this for a few years now when I first heard about it, and I'm glad that I finally got around to watching it. This anime was definitely not what I was expecting in the best way. When I was expecting action and adventure, I got a slow-burn romance, economics, and politics. I was definitely okay with it, lol. The main characters are so cute watching them developing feelings for each other! The only sad part is that there's no chance of a second season, so you have to either read the novels or manga to find out what happens next.

Cover Lover 49

Haven't done one of these in a while. Most of these covers have been out for a few years now, but I haven't looked at book covers in a while, so they're still new to me!

Endless Driving, Asheville Adventures, Job Interviews, Drunk Cooking, & Surprise Puppy!

Whoops! Definitely did not mean to suddenly vanish this month!

This month has been pretty hectic. I had to drive my bro and I up to my sis's house to spend the night, since we had to pick up our parents from the airport at seven in the morning and didn't want to drive wake up before 5 to do it. Then I had to drive my bro to the dentist so he could get his wisdom teeth taken out, and then drive us home after dropping my parents off to pick up their car from a friend's car shop. That was all just one day. I think I did over seven hours of driving in less than 24 hours.

That weekend, I drove Meethu and Jackie up to Atlanta to Shanice's apartment, where we met up with Emily to go on our Asheville, North Carolina trip we planned a month ago. Because I love finding new places to eat, I looked around and found us some delicious looking places to eat at, so we were all excited try everything. Lol, it basically became a food adventure.

We had dinner at this packed place called Wicked Weed, which had really good burgers and got drinks at some Irish pub I found a local beer that I actually liked to drink! Apparently I like sours, lol.

We also did an escape room, which ended up being right across the street from the bar we went to, which was super convenient. We had literally walked around a whole bunch trying to find a bar that wasn't packed. So we did an escape room tipsy and escaped with 10 minutes to spare!

The next day, we had brunch at this placed called Biscuit Head where the biscuits were huge. For dessert, we went to the Baked Pie Company, which had the best vintage/tea room aesthetic ever. Basically, we were all in a food coma by the time we drove back home, lol.

I've also been busy panicking over phone interviews and interview techniques and ettiequte this whole month trying to get a job. I actually had my first in person interview yesterday, which was nerve-wracking. I was more surprised to actually find that I'd been offered a job offer with them today, lol. It was such a quick turnaround! But I got a verbal job offer for a year long internship with the company and am going to get a formal offer emailed to me on Monday! I can't believe it!!!

Lol, I forgot that I made plans to make Pad Thai with Jessica two weeks ago until she texted me about it the day of my interview, so I went to her place after I finished my interview to make dinner. We went to Wal-Mart to get the missing ingredients but forgot to buy eggs, so we were like, screw it, we'll make it some other time and made chicken and shrimp alfredo instead while drinking lots of wine, lol.

I also got dinner with the crew on Sunday at a new place called Piedmont Brewery and Kitchen in Macon. It was fun since I hadn't hungout with them much this past month. Lol, it was raining when we finally left, so we all ended up soaked by the time we reached Jerry's car. And then, us being us, we ended up just talking and playing music in the car for an hour before we finally left to go back home.

Dad also got us a German Shepard puppy! He brought him home, and mom was super pissed since she didn't know about it, lol (Dad told everyone but mom because he knew how she'd react, lol). We named him Atlas. We had to bring him back to the farm the next day though since he was being too noisy, and mom wouldn't let us keep him inside the house.

He's so cute and adorable and soft and cuddly! I love him, lol.

So yeah, it's been a busy month, and it's not even over yet! We're planning on going to the Cherry Blossom on Sunday for the Food Truck Frenzy, which I'm excited for. We've been going to it for the past couple of years, so it's a nice tradition for our group. :)

I forget just how short of a month February is every year. I feel like this month passed by in the blink of an eye, lol.
