November was BUSY. There was a lot going on!
First, it was my birthday. I took the day off since I had a lot of PTO left, and Shelle and I turned it into a girls day with Luna. We hungout in the morning and then took her out with us to get rolled ice cream (I’ve been craving it for a few weeks lol) and lunch.
Then we spent the rest of the day playing around and napping before I got my presents from Shelle and Kyle. It was a bunch of scrapbooking stuff from my Amazon wishlist! I just finished filling out my first scrapbook, so I needed a new book, so they got me a 3-pack along with a lot of other stuff lol.
I was very excited, especially because I found a site called SQUARED that printed individual mini photos. Before, I was trying to find a site that could print wallet sized photos for cheap, but they would only come in copies of eight, which was WAY too many copies. Luckily, I found SQUARED, so I uploaded around 50 photos to print to see how they came out. The only downside is that it’s coming from Prague, so I didn’t get the photos until early December, but it was worth the wait! The photos were awesome! They’re a little smaller than wallet sized, but that’s fine with me, since I can fit a lot of pics on a page comfortably.
I also bought a lot more scrapbooking supplies from websites during Black Friday and on Etsy because I was on a binge, so I’ve been impatiently checking the mail and tracking links every day lol.
The next weekend was Kelly and John’s wedding. Alec was a brosmaid, so we attended the wedding rehearsal on Saturday afternoon. The venue was at the Tate House, and it was soo pretty! So much light and a great view of the grounds!
The wedding party and their plus ones drove back to John and Kelly’s house for lunch and mimosas afterwards. The bride and groom also offered to pay for the wedding party’s mani pedis, so we took turns in groups of three going to the nail salon nearby that Kelly likes going to. Lol all of the guys got mani pedis with Kelly hardcore trying to convince them to get nail polish on. Alec and John got a top coat instead lol. Meanwhile, the rest of us ate and drank and played games at the house.
Alec and I decided to try out this kimbap place nearby for dinner on the way home. It was great! I can’t wait to go back!
The next day was the wedding! Kelly was so kind to let the girl plus ones to stay at the bridal cottage with her and her party and family, so we ended up going out with them to help hold everything during the photoshoots. The weather was around 55 degrees, so everyone was freezing in between photos when they had to take off their jackets lol. I came in my thermal tights and a thermal shirt and Toms ready to run around like an errand girl for the first half of the morning, so I was fine until I had to wear my dress and heels lol.
Regardless of the weather, everything was beautiful and so so precious. Almost the entire bridal party was tearing up at the vows part of the ceremony lol. Then, the speeches during the reception were also tear jerking and hilarious. There was even a photobooth with lots of props, so we took some funny album cover pics with Andrew and Mikae.
Towards the end of the night, there was a slight hiccup because Mikae’s allergic to shrimp and had a little bit during dinner and wasn’t feeling well. I told Andrew, who had her allergy medicine with his stuff in the groom's cottage, but it was locked before the ceremony started. We had to find the wedding manager and get her assistant to walk us to the cottage and open the door for us. After we got all of the guys’ stuff from the cottage, so they wouldn’t have to deal with this problem after the wedding, Alec and I moved all of their stuff into my trunk while Andrew got his stuff for Mikae. She felt better afterwards, so all was good.
But yeah, it was a fun and eventful night. We were exhausted by the time we got home.

When we got back, we quarantined for half a week to make sure we were alright. I was mainly concerned because I had a runny nose in the mornings, but I also had a runny nose while we were in DC. I think it was because of the weather or allergies, because we tested negative after waiting for four days after our trip.
So yeah, November was short but eventful!
Yu Xue bought a house in full during her senior year. She shared this happy event with her best friend, but she didn't know that people's hearts were dark. More often than not see hello.
After the end of the world, a good friend brought a group of people to her house to eat her and use hers, and also euphemistically called it robbing the rich and helping the poor.
In the end, she and her dog Duoduo were killed!
After being reborn with hatred, Yu Xue learned to be smart and asked to take out a loan to buy a house. Mortgage was very expensive.
Friends and classmates around her felt at ease, but she didn't know that she had secretly hoarded supplies to prepare for the upcoming apocalypse.
Later, Yu Xue discovered that Duoduo was also reborn, and he was able to speak out. It turned out that he also had a guardian spirit in his body, which could be the guardian spirit of her house. As long as there was enough energy, it could not only transform the balcony of the house into a guardian spirit. Big enough to carry the whole house on its back and run around.
Great for my fix!
So before the apocalypse, Yu Xue hoarded supplies frantically. After the apocalypse, she worked hard to kill zombies to obtain crystal cores and provide energy to a lot, while growing vegetables and food on the increasingly large balcony.
When the city falls, you can also bring the house and move with the large army.
Everyone was on the move, but she was carrying a big house with her, and she could go in to rest, sleep, and eat at any time. When she was in a good mood, she cooked a big meal for herself.

MY REVIEW:
I really like reading this author's zombie apocalypse novels just because she always puts a different spin to the story. Like this one with a guardian house spirit! In addition to this spirit, there's enough action, adventure, farming and cute pets to keep you interested throughout.
This novel is also pretty short, so it was a nice quick read. Kind of wish there was more mention about the "good friend" who inevitably caused her to die in her past life just to see how she's faring now in her current life. It might be expounded upon in the extras. I'm still waiting for them to come out! I read this story as soon as I saw that it was finished lol. Didn't know the author was still writing extras!
Due to the laziness of the creator, the cannon fodder heroines of several books have the same name.

The premise was hilarious. There were a lot of funny antics and misunderstandings in the beginning after Ruan Zhi mixed up the plots. But somewhere in the middle, it started dragging a bit. It was all about the male protagonists fighting over her while she's just trying to fulfill her daily missions and wasn't as funny anymore.
Luckily, the pace picked up and became funny again. I just was kind of surprised that there was any romance. It seemed like Ruan Zhi wasn't really interested in any of the guys because she just wanted to fulfill her cannon fodder female supporting role to be able to go home.
Overall, it wasn't a bad cultivation novel with a sand sculpture protagonist.
In Three Thousand Worlds, everyone is vying to be the protagonist, and the supporting role is not enough. As an uncontested salted fish, Wu You You took over the female supporting role assigned to her by the system without any hesitation. Then, started a happy journey of fast-wearing and eating melons.

I really enjoyed Wu YouYou's enthusiasm in being a salted fish supporting character who just wanted to watch all of the gossip! In some worlds, she even had a group of like-minded melon eaters to fuel each other's spirits lmao. Unfortunately for her, she kept on ending up as part of the gossip because of the male lead.
The lily/yuri world was hilarious, definitely one of the most funny situations I've read yet.

MY REVIEW:
A pretty typical transmigrated character counterattack novel, but the characters were what made it so enjoyable to read. Yun Xingze's bear child antics at times were hilarious. His character growth was great to watch.
In the previous life, after the apocalypse broke out, Seibu County was established as a C-level base, and Gu Qiu owned a house in a prime location close to the base government.
However, the house was secretly sold by her mother when she was in school.
After the apocalypse, Gu Qiu returned from school to Xiwu County, but he didn't even have a place to stay. He was crowded with a group of outsiders in a shed, and struggled to survive. In the end, he was poisoned to death.
Now that Gu Qiu was reborn, there are still a few days before the house will be sold, and in a month, the end of the world will come.
She went home immediately and secured the house and the large area of the roof that came with the house. In the future, there will be more and more shortage of food. She was going to plant food and vegetables on the roof, but she was just planting them. Later, she discovered a secret.
This rooftop does not seem to be an ordinary rooftop.

Based on the summary, I thought this would be a slice of life gardening zombie apocalypse novel. However, it's more action-packed than I thought and also involved cultivation, which I wasn't expecting.
Overall, I liked it! This was a different take on how to survive an apocalypse, and all of the furry friends definitely made it more fun.
At the age of 30, Qiao Sang won almost all authoritative awards at home and abroad, and was conferred a god on his acting skills.
Probably because of her excellent acting skills, she was selected by a magical system and entered one world after another, using her excellent acting skills to complete the tasks of the system.
Whether it's a pure and unpretentious little white lotus, or a sexy, sexy, demon, and coquettish bitch, life is like a play, and it all depends on acting skills.
Qiao Sang has only one purpose - to attack those men and make them mad for her and bang against the wall for her!

I've read a lot of novels by this author and really liked them, so I wasn't surprised by how much I enjoyed reading this novel.
If you don't like having many characters like the protagonist, then you probably won't like this. If you like reading about a woman strategically leading men into fall for her, then you'll really enjoy this book.
I thought Qiao Sang was an awesome protagonist. She tries many different ways to get men to fall for her according to what she has available. Sometimes she messes up, but she immediately works with what she has. The guys she targets are all different and are interesting to see how they end up in her trap.
I especially like the ending and am glad that she has closure.
I only managed to read one book off of this list last month. I'm quite disappointed since I read five books the previous month. Let's do better this month!

MY REVIEW:
Since this book was pretty short at 44 chapters, I thought that the plot would be a quick and intense zombie apocalypse. Unfortunately, I only read up to 8 chapters before deciding to quit because I didn't like the writing style or the protagonist. The writing style was very simple. Yao Yu did this. Because of this, Yao Yu did that. There's hints and foreshadowing, but it's written so plainly and boringly because the author explains it almost immediately afterwards.
It also seems like the author wants to make Yao Yu into some indifferent edgelord who doesn't care about the world. Now, I don't mind reading about an asshole main character, but only if she's written WELL. There's backstory, there's charisma, there's hinted events and situations that make the characters fleshed out and understandable. Yao Yu doesn't have any of that. There's a one paragraph explanation about why she couldn't be soft-hearted while living in an orphanage. That's not enough context for a reader to like a character.
Anyway, this book was NOT my cup of tea lol.

She waited for Ruan Su to be impoverished and rushed for life, but Ji Mingchong Xianyu turned over and became the boss everyone looked up to. What is going wrong? !

MY REVIEW:
I read more than halfway way, up to chapter 65, before deciding to quit because I was bored. Originally, it was pretty interesting reading about Raun Su adapting to life with her husband's family while he's in a coma. However, after he woke up, the plot got pretty boring. There's not much suspense as he slowly, but unknowingly, falls for her and runs into the dilemma of how to tell her his feelings when she obviously only treats him like a brother.
Even the villainous character wasn't that interesting to read about. She was as dumb as you could ask for in a vicious female partner, and it was obvious that her bad deeds were going to come to light eventually.
It's just unfortunate the plot had to slow down so much in the middle that I didn't care enough to slug through to finish the book.
October ended really quickly. I don’t know why I’m always surprised by how quickly time flies by lol.
However, I finally got to cut my hair near the beginning of October! I’ve been tired of my long hair for the past couple of months. I planned to donate most of it right before my trip to SF, but my new hairstylist ran into car issues the morning of and had to cancel all of her appointments that day. Then, I had Covid when we came back, so it was pushed back a few more weeks lol.
But it finally happened! I donated around 14 inches to Wigs for Kids! I think this was a little shorter than the last time I donated my hair last year.
The parents visited twice this month. They seem to want to visit at least every other week to see Luna, which is starting to annoy me. No one gets on your nerves more than your family.
We used to see each other once or twice a month before Luna was born, but it was a lot less stressful and annoying because I think the ball was in our court before. Previously, we would drive down and visit the parents, so that was on our own terms. We could plan around visiting and not go if other things happen to occur.
Now, it’s the parents who come up every week and plan to cook for us for the weekend and ask us to do stuff for them all the time. The problem is that dad CAN’T sit still. He needs to go around and do projects, which is fine when we visit them at their home; he can still go outside and fix the garden or yard or something. At our house, he doesn’t have anything to do after sweeping our garage, so he’ll have us help him with something online or something his friends recommended him to do/use or have a long diatribe with advice we didn’t ask for. Once in a while is fine, but when it happens every time we see each other, I get so annoyed with him and don’t want to see him.
Mom is slightly easier to deal with because I was used to living with her while in college. We get together for meals and have occasional chats, but we usually leave each other alone when and do our own things. The only time I get annoyed with is her over-enthusiasm towards Luna, which also translates to her super loud cooing and grabbing Luna as soon as she’s awake. Texting to ask to see if she’s awake to have video calls all time also got super annoying.
The conflicting parenting advice doesn’t help either. Like, they’ll say, “let her sleep”, but they’ll be the first ones to pick her up as soon as she makes one noise. They wanted us to shave her head after she was a month old because it’s tradition to do so to help make their hair grow faster, but Shelle and Kyle didn’t want to do it because it’s not true and unnecessary. Your hair grows at its own steady rate. It just looks like it grows faster when you start off bald because you can see the growth easier.
I think combined with Kyle’s mom and stepdad visiting almost every two weeks, too, is also wearing down on us all. It’s tiring having to entertain or do stuff for your family so often, especially if you’re not used to seeing them so much.
Another topic that we’ve talked about before is that it probably rubs us the wrong way because growing up, our parents were never involved in our lives this much. Granted, they were busy with work and trying to give us a better life, but it seems like they’re trying to make up for their past mistakes now that they’re retired and have nothing else to do. But just because they’re retired doesn’t mean that Luna is their next project to work on because they have nothing else going on!
This was all of my scrapbooking stuff when I first bought everything. Did realize that I would need a second container to fit everything. Now, I need a THIRD container after getting more stuff for my birthday lol.
My cousin Mei Mei came to visit since she had another long vacation, and tickets to Atlanta were super cheap on Frontier (less than $80!). She only stayed for a few days during the week to play with Luna and go out to try new food lol. Since we were working during the day, she took my car and went on food adventures by herself during the day. At night, we ordered takeout or went out to eat with her.
She left a few days before Halloween, so she didn’t see Luna in her cute astronaut suit! It was a little big on her, but she was freakin ADORABLE. We all bought matching outfits, but Alec wasn’t there to take pics with us (we thought our neighborhood would do trick-or-treating on the weekend, not Monday, the actual day), so I stayed home and passed out candy while Shelle, Kyle, and Luna went out with our neighbors.
But yeah, October flew by with lots of annoyances and laughter (because Luna is unintentionally cute and hilarious every day lmao).
Chen Qingyao went from the end of the world to the realm of self-cultivation, and she wanted to lie down and live forever.
On the first day of her journey of self-cultivation, she found a boy under a cliff.
The young man is a talented young man with excellent aptitude.

MY REVIEW:
This was such a fun cultivation novel! This novel focused on Chen Qingyao's slow growth into becoming a 4 way cultivator and her adventures with her friends.
She spent the past 10 years surviving as a weak human during a zombie apocalypse before dying and being reborn in a cultivation world, so all she wants to do is to live a long life by ascending as a cultivator. She meets a lot of great people along the way and awakens her money grubbing ways trying to survive at first, which was hilarious. Even though she eventually became rich, she still felt poor because everything she does cost money lol.
This is a slice of life cultivation novel. There's fights and excitement sprinkled throughout, but it's really about Chen Qingyao's accidental adventures in cultivation lol.
The romance is SUPER slow and gradual, but the main lead's duality was also hilarious, and you can feel his gradual cherishment of her, which was sweet.
Highly recommend this novel if you want to read a shorter, entertaining cultivation novel that's less than 200 chapters.
I managed to read FIVE books off this list last month! That's probably my best record lol. I bought the latest volumes of the two series I read last month, so I'm planning on catching up this month!

The summary sounded really familiar to a manga series I read a year or two ago. I couldn't remember the title for the life of me, but I was pretty sure this was the same series, so of course I had to watch it and make sure I was right lol. And I was!
I really liked the manga, but it ended after 3 volumes, so there wasn't much content after the first arc. The manga is based on the light novel, but I couldn't find any completed translations at the time, so I left it at that. Luckily, after watching the first few episodes, I remembered the plot and knew that this was the same series I read a while ago! This is great news because now I can watch what happens next instead of searching for the light novel translations lol!
Anyway, the plot is great. I love how Aileen is working her hardest to change her fate and the fate of the game. The "protagonists" of the otome game are hella sus though. I really wonder if Lilia is also reborn or a transmigrator, or if that's just her naively trying to fix the world. Guess I'll find out in the upcoming episodes! But Prince Cedric is fucking disgusting and delusionally self-centered. Really hate him.
I didn't know much about Chainsaw Man except for that the manga was super popular and that the covers made it look like the plot was super bloody and action-y. After watching the first episode, that's all I needed to know.
(You just need to know that Denji and Pochita are the most wholesome found family you can get, okay?! I didn't expect to have so many feelings in just the first episode!)
I can see why there was so much hype about this anime adaptation. The action, the characters, the cinematography, the music...everything was awesome! Also, saw that this was produced by Mappa and knew that the series was in good hands lol. Can't wait to see where this series goes. I'm sure I'll end up reading the manga after it's finished airing lol.
I was interested in watching this because I saw a clip of the first episode on IG where Park Min Young was being an absolute boss speaking in English. First, I love Park Min Young. Second, I loved how all of the comments were about her putting her English lessons from her other role in What's Wrong with Secretary Kim into action lol.
Anyway, Shelle and I started watching it last week and have been invested in the male lead's mysteriousness. Obviously, the show is trying to depict him in an evil light, but he's the male lead, so I doubt it. However, I didn't expect to see the mom in Extraordinary Attorney Woo to also be in this drama! I really like her confident/arrogant persona.
Started watching this again because my parents came up to visit the other weekend. My dad likes watching the show, so this is one of the ways we bond whenever they visit lol. Every episode, I’m constantly reminded that I don’t know that many celebrities lol.
Had to take a break watching season 4 because Alec and I went on vacation and caught Covid, but now that we’re better, we’ve started watching Haikyu again. I forgot how addicting the sets were!
We’re almost finished with the season! I know it won’t cover the entire arc, so I was excited for the next season. However, it looks like they’re compressing the rest of the series into two final movies. A bit sad since they’ll be skipping a lot of content. Guess I’ll need to read the manga after all lol.

Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? III
I recently started reading the light novels again, so I reread volume 11 and found out that season 3 of the anime was based on this arc. Obviously, after I finished reading the arc, I had to watch it in anime form because the fight scenes described in the books were already exciting enough! I couldn't wait for the final showdown! And the anime didn't let me down! It was as thrilling as the books!
There were a couple of small differences from the book, but nothing drastic, so it was nice to know that they were sticking to the source material pretty well!
Skeleton Knight in Another World
I wasn’t expecting this anime to start off so graphically. It’s similar to Goblin Slayer in terms of dark themes and fantasy setting, but it’s more lighthearted in comparison since there’s a cute fox spirit around that looks suspiciously like a green Vulpix lol. It’s not a terrible anime, but it’s also not groundbreaking either. I’ve been watching this casually in between reading books and working out.
There's enough loose ends to have a second season, so I wouldn't mind watching the it if there is a second season.
Started watching this a few weeks ago with Shelle when I came back home after recovering from Covid. She started it when I was in the middle of a webnovel, but I couldn’t tear my eyes away from the show and knew that I was addicted lol.
I really like the main character Mi Joo. She’s so articulate and understands herself so well. The male lead took a minute to like because I couldn’t understand him that well in the first episode. However, I appreciate that he’s not the typical tall, cold, and handsome male lead like in most Kdramas. He’s a legit weirdo and some stuff he says really can make people think he’s arrogant even though he doesn’t mean it.
The episodes are over an hour long, so that was surprising. So much happened in every episode! However, I was kind of disappointed with the ending, especially with the dad.
But the side couple was interesting. This was my first drama watching SooYoung acting, and I really like it!
