I can already tell that she's going to be one of my favorite contemporary authors after reading Catching Jordan.

Paolo Bacigalupi

After reading The Drowned Cities, I could understand why all of his other books have gotten so many awards and praise.

Terra Elan McVoy

She's a well-known contemporary author, and after reading Being Friends with Boys, I can understand why; her writing's just so realistic and spot-on.

Rachel Cohn & David Levithan

I can finally see why there are so many fans of the two authors after I read Dash & Lily's Book of Dares. I know that I have one of David Levithan's books lying in my piles of TBR books, so as soon as I find it, I am going to read it. 

Madeleine Roux

At the end of Allison Hewitt is Trapped, there was a preview of her next book in the series, and I was immediately hooked because her writing style and the premise is just awesome.

I heard that this series was really cute and funny and I have the three out of the four books, so why haven't I read them yet??

Cool Stuff: Graffiti on Palestine Wall

Yep. You read the title right. Graffiti. On a Palestine Wall. Prepare to be amazed. And in awe/jealousy at the ingenuity of them. :P

The majority of the pics are from the same creator, a British street artist named Banksy. From all of the pics that I've seen he's done, he's really good. And I'm totally jealous of his creativity. XD

My reading mojo is coming back?

So I started and finished reading a book yesterday. It was Uncommon Criminals by Ally Carter, and wow, that has been the first book in a long while that I've read just for pleasure instead of for class. And also the first book in an even longer time that I've read in basically one sitting.

I think I might have gotten back my reading mojo! Because really, I haven't felt that sense of satisfaction after reading a book for so long, and I never realized that I had missed that feeling until after I had closed the book and let the whole story sink in.

What sucks is that now is really not a good tome to be reading what with finals next week. I think I'm pretty lucky to only have to take my Calc exam in class since my Document & Web design final is a website assignment that is due online next Tuesday, my Gendered Lives class is two essays due next Saturday, and my programming project can also act as my final so I don't have to take it now. But yeah, I REALLY need to study for the Calc final and make time to write two really awesome essays.

So... I have the sinking feeling that I'm going to be procrastinating by reading books during this week and next week. :\

We shall see~

For now, I'm going to decide what book to read next. Should I finish one of the books that I've already started reading or should I just read a new book?

There are so many books out that I can't wait to read. Granted, I own so many books that I have yet to read, so I really shouldn't want so many more books to add to my endless piles. -__-" But I can't help but want moar books becuz I is greedy. :P

I've heard nothing but awesome things about this book and author, so I feel an extra special need to read this book. Or any book written by Hannah Moskowitz, as you can tell from my next suggestion. :P

Teeth by Hannah Moskowitz

This sounds so so good! It was first about a fishboy falling in love with a boy or something and I was interested in it ever since. 

Pirate Cinema by Cory Doctorow

Cory Doctorow is my favorite author when it comes to stories about resistance and fighting back against unfair regimes/laws/what have you. And now he's written a book about online piracy, a topic that I am most familiar with? I have got to read this book, even if it is biased.

This is Not a Test by Courtney Summers

It's written by Courtney Summers! And it's completely different from her other contemporary books, so I'm definitely interested in her writing style.

Stealing Parker by Miranda Kenneally

I loved her first book, so I definitely want to read more stories about characters from the same world. Maybe it'll be like in Sarah Dessen books where characters from her past books appear in her newer ones. 

Game by Barry Lyga

It's the sequel to I Hunt Killers! Such an amazing book with a twisted cliffhanger that leaves me dying to read the sequel!

Burn Bright by Marianne de Pierres

I will not lie, this cover had me intrigued from the beginning, and then the summary hooked me in, and I've wanted to read it ever since. It totally sucks that this is only published in Australia. :(
