4 STARS - I REALLY LIKED IT

MY REVIEW:

I really liked this book. The characters were awesome, the suspense was nail-biting, the writing was riveting, and the romance was cute. In addition, the setting, which was a small town in Montana, was also very well portrayed.

With its ending, I wouldn't complain for a sequel, although I'm pretty sure it would involve a different set of characters, which would make me sad. I really like Jacian.

I listened to the audiobook of this, and I think that the narrator did an awesome job. She captured all of the emotions Kendall went through perfectly and had a great Spanish accent for the Obregan family.

Title: Skyfall (Troll Hunters, Book 1)
Author: Michael Dahl
Pages: 112
Publication: January 1, 2012
Publisher: Stone Arch Books
Summary taken from goodreads:
Far above the small town of Zion Falls, the stars fall from the sky. Deep below the sleepy city, an ancient evil awakens. Caught in the middle are four teens with hidden powers beyond their wildest dreams . . .
2.5 STARS - IT WAS OKAY

MY REVIEW:

A quick middle grade fantasy that hardly answered anything for the sole purpose of extending the series. It was so short, there wasn't any character growth at all!

But I really liked the drawings. They were awesome.

Title: Wuthering Heights
Author: Emily Bronte
Pages: 384
Publication: December 1847
Publisher: Collins Classics
Summary taken from goodreads:
"Wuthering Heights", Emily Bronte's only novel, is one of the pinnacles of 19th-century English literature. It's the story of Heathcliff, an orphan who falls in love with a girl above his class, loses her, and devotes the rest of his life to wreaking revenge on her family.
2 STARS - IT WAS OKAY

MY REVIEW:

Almost all of the characters were selfish, self-centered, and spoiled. And they were crazy and stupid and ugh! How can you even call any of that love?!

I was surprised at how easy it was to read the book. I thought that I would have to struggle to understand the sentences, but they weren't that hard to figure out, except for when Joseph talked; his accent was just too hick that I had to reread everything that he said twice to get the gist of it.
