3 STARS - I LIKED IT

MY REVIEW:

I always cringe whenever the main character does something incredibly stupid instead of just telling the truth. I cringed quite a few times while watching this movie. It was predictable at times, but what can I say? It's a chick flick. Of course there's going to be some overused plots and stupid mistakes. At least it had some super hilarious moments that had me laughing my head off.

3 STARS - I LIKED IT

MY REVIEW:

As equally good as the first movie. The ingenuity, the humor, the wit, and the characters all make this movie just as entertaining and engaging as the first. Plus, the ending was also very funny and insane, just like how Holmes would plan it.

Title: Scott Pilgrim vs. the World
Running time: 112 min
Release date: August 13, 2010
Rated: PG-13
Summary taken from imdb:

He dates Knives Chau, a high-school girl five years younger, and he hasn't recovered from being dumped by his former girlfriend, now a success with her own band. As if juggling two women wasn't enough, Ramona comes with baggage: seven ex-lovers, with each of whom Scott must do battle to the death in order to win Ramona.
2.5 STARS - I LIKED IT ENOUGH

MY REVIEW:

I always have a problem with main characters such as Scott Pilgrim. He's that awkward guy that always makes me cringe because of his awkwardness, and his pedophilic relationship with his high school girlfriend who is equally awkward and odd as him. The only thing that made up for it was the fighting scenes and special effects similar to those in video games.

3.5 STARS - I LIKED IT

MY REVIEW:

I really liked the setting of this movie. With people never aging past 25 and time as your only currency, the plot was definitely unique and interesting. The acting was good, the romance wasn't cringe-worthy at all, and the action was also well done.

I'd recommend this movie to anyone looking for a quick escape into another world.
