I hope everyone had a great Christmas, because I sure did!
The party was pretty hilarious yesterday, lol. Shena was acting tipsy before she even started drinking, and Kyle and Shelle made me open one of my Christmas presents from them early so that we could use it during the party. Turns out that they got me The Bigger Blacker Box; first three expansion packs, the World Wide Web pack, the Food Pack, the Fantasy Pack, and the Design Pack. I had only asked the Design Pack, because the cards are actually illustrated, so I wasn't expecting to get so many other Cards Against Humanity stuff.
Then again, Shelle and Kyle really did go all out this year on presents, lol. Inside that present that I opened was a lot of other presents as well. They got me both the first edition of Exploding Kittens (the box meows every time you open it! :D) and the NSFW one as well! I told everyone to get me black socks since it seemed like I kept on losing a sock every time I did the laundry, so they got me 10 pairs of socks, one of which had a yeti pattern on it! :D They got me a cool Funko Pop! shirt of Loki, a Pandora bracelet and charm, and two books as well. Lol, all of that was in one big box! For my other present, they got me the new illustrated version of the first Harry Potter book, which I've been wanting to buy but couldn't since it was soldout on Amazon as soon as it came out. The art is just amazing. I love it!
And I guess David figured I'd need even more socks, because he also gave me a bunch of crazily designed socks for Christmas as well, lol. He also got me some bath bombs and bubble bars from Lush, because he remembered how interested I was in buying some a couple months ago but then totally forgot about. -__-" I got some super soft sweatpants from him, too, which I can't wait to try on after I wash them, since they smell too strong from being inside the same container as the bath bombs, lol.
But yeah, the party was really entertaining since all of the people around our age gathered in Shelle's room and played Cards Against Humanity and Exploding Kittens. Then, because it was becoming late, we went to David's house to give him and his family our presents since Steph and Christian weren't going to be home the next day. Alec, Shena, Phil, and his friend Dean wanted to come along as well, so I felt like it was kind of awkward for them to watch us all open presents for each other. But, we did play a round of Exploding Kittens there afterwards before we had to go home since the parentals wanted to open the presents together.
So we went home around 12:30 where the party was already over and where they were already done cleaning up and opened presents. Lol, Mom was so excited to set up the Keurig we bought her and learn how to use it. She even made a cup of coffee but decided not to drink it since she was already tired. Dad was pretty happy with the security system that we got him as well.
Then, David came by earlier this morning because I accidentally forgot to bring his presents last night since it was interspersed with Kyle, Shelle, and Brian's presents. Shelle and Kyle had to leave not long afterwards, so we pretty much spent the day chilling. We finished watching Ouran High School Host club (lol, I pretty much persuaded David into watching it since I love it so much), napped, ate, and marathoned the first half of The Seven Deadly Sins.
All-in-all, it was a good Christmas. :)

Double dates, rock climbing, Star Wars, Christmas parties, and Fancy Schmancies
A lot's been happening in these past few weeks! I feel like I've barely been home since this break started, lol.
Last week, David and I went on a double date with Shena and Alec where we did a little Christmas shopping at Riverside and ate at a Mexican restaurant nearby. It was pretty fun, since they came over to my house first, and Alec and I started a mini Nerf war for the first few minutes. Then we went to the mall and bought some presents before eating lunch. It was really funny because while we were trying to figure out if one of the waiters was an engineering student we knew, our waiter was a TCO student I knew. XD
Then, on Thursday, David and I went up to Kennesaw to hangout with Shelle and Kyle for the rest of the weekend. We met up with Michelle for lunch at Tin Drum to get her keys, and then went to their apartment and chilled and slept until Kyle came home first, lol.
The next day was pretty busy since Kyle took the day off. We went rock climbing, which was fun but difficult. We mainly did the auto belays since we didn't have training for any of the other ones. They had a gym upstairs, so we spent some time there working out. The gym mainly had equipment for working on your upper body, which makes sense since we're in a rock climbing facility, but man, I have no upper body strength, lol. Then we got smoothies afterwards.
Because Shelle had a Groupon coupon for this sushi place that was about to expire soon, we ate at Sushi Yu, which was really good. We got fried ice cream for dessert, which was equally delicious because it was green tea and vanilla flavored.
Then, we went to go watch Star Wars, which had already sold out by that day. Luckily, Kyle had preordered tickets ahead of time, so we were fine. But man, there were so many people already lined up to get good seats. Unfortunately for us, we got there 30 minutes before the movie started, so there weren't many good spots available; David and I sat in the front area, which wasn't too bad since we sat on the last row. But yeah, the movie was great! I really liked it! There was a lot more humor than I expected, and the fight scenes were awesome!
The next day, I had a weird stomach problem that made me nauseous and need to poop for the longest time, but I recovered by that night when we went to Kyle's dad's Christmas party. Man, there was so much good food there, lol. So much cheese dips and cheese foods, that I was in heaven, lol. :D
The white elephant event was hilarious as well, because almost everyone brought bathroom related items. XD I stole this awesome Minion Fart Blaster that David, Kyle, and I saw at Wal-Mart from someone else who stole it from David, so the Fart Blaster went full circle, lol. And David was a boob who didn't even realize that he picked Shelle and Kyle's gift, so he got perfume and body lotion, the dork. Shelle got this hilarious bathroom book that people write in while they're on the toilet, and Kyle got this huge flask, lol.
The next day, we went to Kyle's mom's Christmas party, which also had a lot of cheese foods to eat among lots of meat, lol. Instead of calling it white elephant, they called it Yankee swap, and it was even more entertaining. I originally got a bag with an electric toilet paper roll, toilet paper, and a tomahawk, but it got stolen, so I ended up with a bag full of plastic animals, lol. David got a mug in the shape of a toilet. XD Kyle stole his mom's lightsaber, and Michelle got some Nerf guns and ammo to go with it. It was pretty funny watching everyone unveil everything while listening to the dogs, who were locked in one of their rooms, continue to whine throughout the night. After the party, we went to Wal-Mart to get some stuff, and Kyle almost got ran over by one of his aunts, whom he didn't recognize, lol. Lmao, Kyle was pretty much traumatized by his family for the rest of the night because of all of the Christmas presents.
We just chilled for the rest of the night since Kyle and Shelle had to go to work the next day. David and I left in the morning when Shelle left, so we got back to David's house around 9:30 and proceeded to nap until 12-ish. XD
Then, that night, my friends and I had our annual Fancy Schmancy get together, and realized that we're about to hit adulthood. Jackie's already graduated and is looking into moving to Atlanta soon, Emily's graduating grad school in May, and Shanice and I are graduating undergrad this spring even though I'll still have a year of grad school left. And Meethu is trying to graduate in another year, lol. So this could very well be our last Fancy Schmancy since more than half of the group will be working next year and will not have long breaks like how we do in school. That, or we could potentially have our next Fancy Schmancy in Atlanta since most of us will be there this summer, lol. But it was good to see everyone, since I rarely get to see anyone lately. Hopefully we'll be able to hangout more this next semester.
So yeah, it's been pretty eventful since school ended. We're throwing a Christmas party on Thursday since our cousins from California are near this year, Jessica and I are gonna hangout sometime next week, and I will hopefully be visiting Krista before the new year, so I'm still gonna be pretty busy. In between all of that, I'm also still trying to clean my room and get rid of unnecessary stuff that I don't need anymore. -__-"

The semester is finally over! \o/
I don't think I've ever been so happy for classes to end as I was yesterday morning. This semester has been rough. I've written so many papers (pretty much at least one paper a week), had to deal with such a bullshit professor and had to do so much reading for classes that I never caught a break. D:
I guess I should have expected to have a hard course load since I was taking 18 hours, 6 of which were grad classes. :\ Guess what. I have the same exact schedule next semester... -__-"
But yeah, finals week was rough. I had a paper due on Monday, Tuesday, and Saturday along with actual tests on Friday night and Saturday morning. I also pulled an all-nighter studying and writing my last paper for my Saturday morning final. Such a bad life choice. I've realized that I'm too old to be pulling all-nighters anymore. I was in a loopy haze for half of the day after I took naps, lol. Luckily, my art finals were just presentations of our final projects.
Now, I've been slowly cleaning up my room, which had steadily became filled with junk these past few weeks because of finals, and enjoying the stress-free feelings of euphoria that comes from not having deadlines coming up. XD
I got to see Krista and her bf yesterday, too! I'm pretty sure we haven't seen each other for the past two years since she moved to Columbus, so it was really nice to see her and know that we were still good. We had talked the night before while she was driving down to see her bf, and she explained why she kind of distanced herself lately.
I usually invite her to hangout with my group of high school friends whenever we have free time, and she usually turned down the offer, and she said it was because she kind of felt uncomfortable with everyone else since she felt like she didn't belong with the group, since she went to a different high school than us and was in a different economic class than the rest of us and some other stuff. I did not know that she felt that way, so it was nice to talk it out and realize that even though we've barely talked to each other in the past two years, we still get each other and are each others' best friends.
I've long realized that I am terrible at maintaining long-distance relationships, friendships especially, so I hardly talk to my close friends that don't go to school with me. But I feel like a lot my best friendships are the ones that I don't see often, because even though we don't see or talk to each other every day, when we do get together, it feels like we've just seen each other the other day. It's not awkward; it's familiar and fun.
However, I won't lie, because there are times when I doubt our friendships, because we haven't hung out in a while. But I don't really dwell on it, because I'm always proven that I had nothing to worry about the next time I see them. :P

Weekly Haul (86)
Like I've been doing lately, I realized that I haven't done a Weekly Haul in quite a while. A year. It's been over a year. D: This was mainly because my camera broke, then my phone started acting up, and then I became so busy that I didn't have time to read let alone buy books besides the occasional one or two whenever I went to the bookstore.
I've decided to make two hauls. For this haul, I'm going to talk about the books that I've bought in the last year since those have accumulated. I've recently bought a lot of books because of Black Friday, so I'm going to do another haul for that later this month.
Now onto some books that still have yet to read! -__-" (If you can't tell, I'm trying to get back to the reading mood.)
Received earlier this year:
Let's Get Lost by Adi Alsaid
The Diviners by Libba Bray (signed)
Liar of Dreams by Libba Bray (ARC)
Guardians of the Dead by Karen Healey
Hello, Goodbye, & Everything in Between ARC by Jennifer E. Smith
Novl Tote Bag
Music CD and letter by Libba Bray
In August, I won the NOVL's monthly subscription box, NOVLbox, that was curated by Libba Bray, so I got a lot of cool stuff in the box like a signed copy of The Diviners, the ARC of Liar of Dreams, a copy of Guardians of the Dead, a shirt (not pictured because it's in the wash), some nail polish (not pictured because I can't find it), and Swedish Fish (not pictured cuz I ate it, lol). There were a couple of other things as well, but I couldn't find them.
Bought earlier this year:
Orchards by Holly Thompson
Forsaken by Lisa M. Stasse

Cover Lover 43
I recently realized that I haven't done a Cover Lover post since last year! D: It's crazy how busy this year was and how much I've been forgetting to include in my blogs. I've for sure stopped blogging as much this year, which makes me sad. :( I'll try to do better next year.

Dusty Reads: The Raven Boys (The Raven Cycle, #1) by Maggie Stiefvater
Dusty Reads is a weekly post featuring a book that has been sitting unread on my home shelf for some time.
Title: The Raven Boys (The Raven Cycle, #1)
Author: Maggie Stiefvater
Pages: 416
Publication: September 1, 2012
Publisher: Scholastic Press
Summary taken from goodreads:
Every year, Blue Sargent stands next to her clairvoyant mother as the soon-to-be dead walk past. Blue never sees them--until this year, when a boy emerges from the dark and speaks to her.
His name is Gansey, a rich student at Aglionby, the local private school. Blue has a policy of staying away from Aglionby boys. Known as Raven Boys, they can only mean trouble.
But Blue is drawn to Gansey, in a way she can't entirely explain. He is on a quest that has encompassed three other Raven Boys: Adam, the scholarship student who resents the privilege around him; Ronan, the fierce soul whose emotions range from anger to despair; and Noah, the taciturn watcher who notices many things but says very little.
For as long as she can remember, Blue has been warned that she will cause her true love to die. She doesn't believe in true love, and never thought this would be a problem. But as her life becomes caught up in the strange and sinister world of the Raven Boys, she's not so sure anymore.I just realized that I haven't done one of these since last year... Maybe that's why I haven't remembered to read much this year. -__-"
Ironically, I think I bought this book last year? I've been meaning to read this book because I generally like Maggie Stiefvater's books, and I've been hearing endless praise for this series since day one. It's kind of ridiculous the extent of praise I've read about this series. Even people I follow on Tumblr talk about it!
But yeah, the last book is coming out next year, so that should give me enough time to read the first three books as soon as I have time to read anything. Unfortunately, that won't be until this semester ends. :/

Thanksgiving Break Goals
My Thanksgiving Break officially starts today, but because I convinced my art teacher to turn yesterday into a work day and because my other teacher canceled class for the break, I actually had yesterday off. Did I do anything productive with it? Not academically.
I cleaned my room and vacuumed my sis's room, but any chance of doing homework was pointless after my parents came home since we had some errands to do. We ended up spending around five hours at Best Buy upgrading new phones and transferring info over to our new phones, so it was already nine at night by the time we got home. By then, I was just tired and knew I wouldn't focus on writing any paper.
So, here are all of the things I need to do over this break in order to catch up with school.
Ugh, there's always too much to do and not enough time. :/ I really shouldn't have slacked off on the reading assignments for New Testament last week. But then again, there really wasn't much time to do them because of everything else.

Friday's busy!
There's so much stuff happening this Friday, the 20th, that it's crazy!
The most obvious is that The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2 premieres, but Netflix's original series, Jessica Jones, also comes out as well, and I'm super excited for both. I can't wait to see how the movie will depict the fighting scenes and ending, even though I don't really remember the second half of the book that well, since I pulled an all-nighter to finish it, lol. And I'm so excited to watch Jessica Jones because Daredevil blew me away, and it's taking place in the same city: Hell's Kitchen. That, and because I actually read up on her backstory, which is super twisted and sad, so I can't wait to see her portrayal on screen.
In addition, We the King's new album, Strange Love, is also coming out on the 20th! They've been releasing teasers on their YouTube channel for the past few days and will continue to reveal a new song each day until their album release date, and I've been loving them. My favorite is "From Here to Mars" with "Jenny's Song" as a close second. Check out the teaser!
For more local news, Mercer is also throwing its quarterly Midnight Movie on this Friday, most likely in anticipation for Mockingjay's release, but there's been some changes so that now non-Mercer students can also attend the event. This could mean that they'll run out of seats quicker, which'll suck. However, the movie theater's already announced that they'll have multiple theaters playing Mockingjay, so I guess seating won't be too difficult if I actually end up going.
Lastly, we have initiation on Friday! My little will become a brother! :D I feel bad for not talking and hanging out as much as I could have, but this semester was busier than I expected. D:

Hanging Out, Hooters, Laser Tag, & Fiction
This past week has been crazy busy, lol. I definitely did not focus on schoolwork and homework as much as I should have. I ended up socializing instead. -__-"
On Wednesday, I hung out with Lauren, since we haven't seen each other since AWA and because she wanted to give me my birthday present. We went to go eat at McAlister's, and ended up staying there for around three hours just catching up, talking about classes, anime, and our favorite ships. Lol, it was good to see her.
Afterwards, I went to my friend's car club event to get a quick checkup on my car and learn how to check my tire's air pressure and oil and stuff. Hopefully I will remember how to do all of that when I really need to do it, lol. I signed up for a raffle and recently found out that I got second place! Lol, I haven't had a chance to stop by and retrieve my prize, so I don't even know what I won. XD
I met up with Jessica there, and we went to go kidnap Safa after we were done checking our cars. We promised to take her out to Hooters during LEAD since she had never been there before, so that was what we did. I'm so glad that all of us liked spicy things, or else we would have had to choose the boring flavors, lol. Instead, we tried out a bunch of different spicy flavors since we chose the all-you-can-eat wingless option that's available on Wednesdays.
Then, on Friday, Quadworks had set up laser tag on Cruz from 5-7, so David and I ended up playing multiple rounds with strangers at first, and then with our friends later on at night. Oh my god. I was so sore over the weekend because of all of the squatting I did playing laser tag. David and I were dying walking anywhere. XD (I'm still a little sore...)
Afterwards, we went to go watch our school theater's production of "Fiction" with Jenny and Carina, since Carina and I got free tickets for designing the posters (and she got another one for designing the book cover). It was really good! And I recognized all of the actors (lol, there were only three) from the previous play, "A Flea in Her Ear," that we went to for free for also designing the poster and banners for, lol.
So yeah, it was a very eventful week.
October in Retrospect
I can't believe how busy and forgetful I've been that I completely forgot to post this until now! D: I've been swamped with school, so I haven't had much of a chance to read or review anything, which sucks. I really feel like I should review the latest stuff that I watch, but I keep on forgetting to do it. :/
I watched:
Daredevil Season 1 (2015)
Mad Max: Fury Road (2015)

Halloween Squad Goals
I've been busy trying to survive life these past few weeks (and it's only going to get worse starting next week D:), so I haven't been really active on here lately. If I can't motivate myself to do my homework, I can't even motivate myself to remember to be productive at all. :/
However, I'm going trick-or-treating/hanging with some friends on Halloween, so I've been thinking of costume ideas for a while now. I saw this awesome picture of a group costume though, and I had to share it!
Isn't it great?! Too bad I can't ride a bike, lol.
I thought about being GoGo from Big Hero 6, but I couldn't find an affordable leather jacket on such short notice. In the end, I decided to go as Max from Foster's Home for Imaginary Kids. He's really easy to dress up as, and I'll actually be warm, lol.
I stumbled across Polyvore while looking for the GoGo outfit and ended up being inspired by all of the creative, modern, girl-version of famous characters from TV shows, movies, and games. Just look under the Similar Styles section to see other outfits for famous characters.
Anyway, I have to pick my bro up from his band competition later, and it's already this late. Not really tired because I've been sleeping around 1-2 AM every day for the past week, but I still don't want to mess up my sleep schedule anymore than it already is, so I really hope he'll call soon.
That's it for now!

Fall Break Goals
Since I spent the past week ignoring homework in order to write papers, I've accumulated a lot of reading to catch up on, and I'm determined to do them all during this break, since I have two extra days to do this. I just hate that I have another paper due on Monday. I've had at least one paper due every week for this past month, and it sucks so much! :(
Anyway, here's what I need to do this break:
And if for some reason, I actually manage to complete all of those tasks and still have time, here are some more things I need to do so that I won't end up doing them all last minute:

It's been a stressful month :o
Life has been pretty busy these past few weeks with Anime Weekend Atlanta this past weekend, Japanfest the weekend before, and double date with Jackie and Lee the weekend before that. Not to mention all of the homework and papers and tests and presentations I had in between everything.
The sad part is that I didn't take pictures of any of these events. :/ I was just too busy enjoying the moment to remember to take a picture, lol. Besides, both AWA and Japanfest were supremely crowded and busy, so I kind of felt exhausted just walking around. But in the end, I ate great food and bought lots of things at Artist Alley, lol.
I pretty much felt burnt out for the past two weeks since I worked on my internship paper, poster, and presentation last minute. What I should have started working on three weeks ahead of time, I did all in one week. This meant writing 25 pages of my work report (which ended up at 50 pages since I had to include my journal entries I wrote during my internship), creating a huge poster to summarize my internship experience, and creating a PowerPoint Presentation of my internship to present to fellow classmates and professors that Friday. I got around 5 hours of sleep every day that week, and my internet went out when I was trying to design my presentation. The stress was so real the next day. D:
Then, even though I felt like sleeping the weekend away and because I felt like I needed a break and didn't want to disappoint David by not going, I went to Japanfest with David, his sis and friends, and the rest of the ISSA club in Atlanta. It was so much more crowded than last year! It was so ridiculous just waiting in line! But it was still fun watching different performances and trying different Japanese snacks and drinking bubble tea.
Then, when I tried to be productive that Sunday since I had to study for a quiz on Monday, a test on Wednesday and write two papers by the next Monday, I ended up goofing off most of the day with David, Marc (since he was in town to work on his internship stuff), and Jessica (since we ran into her and she had homework to do as well). So I wasn't really productive until we all buckled down and got to business around seven and stopped working around midnight when the library closed.
Regardless, I still didn't have time to study for my test on Wednesday, so I was surprised to find out that I made an 86 on the test. :o Then, when I should have been working on those papers, I went to support Mviet at the Macon an Impact even on Thursday since they were performing and the staff were giving out free food and t-shirts. It was really fun since we had a photobooth for people to take pictures using Vietnamese props, and there were lots of really interesting performances.
Then it was AWA the next day, so I definitely did not write anything that whole weekend except for when we came back Sunday afternoon. Since we weren't really interested in any panels on Sunday, we just went to the Dealer's Room and Artist Alley to check out the stuff one last time in hopes of getting a deal and left afterwards. We got back to David's house around four, and I goofed off for an hour, did some homework for another class for an hour and started working on one paper from 7-12 that night. Then I went home and started working on my other paper until 2:30 after I goofed off for an hour. Then I finished my second paper 20 minutes before the due date earlier tonight, lol. I'm so sleep deprived. ;__;
But back to AWA! On Friday, Lauren and I went to the Kpop Lip Synch Contest, which was hilarious because it pretty much became a dance off as well, and some people were really good at making the crowd laugh. There were these two sassy gay guys who were on point with all of the sexy girl group dances as well, lol. It was super fun. I went with the whole group to Anime Hell aftewards, which was also really funny and ridiculous.
The next day, we hit up the Dealer's Room and Artist Alley multiple times, and David surprised me with this super cute alpaca with a strawberry hat on its head. Since we were struggling on picking a super manly name for its cute self, Kim told us that we should just call it Ichigo since it means strawberry in Japanese, so we did, lol. I bought a couple prints and an alpaca shirt (way before I knew that David bought me one, lol), but Jackie and I held ourselves back from buying everything unlike last year. XD
We also went to AWA's sixth annual Burlesque and Cabaret show since none of us had ever gone to one before. I didn't really know what to expect, but I kind of figured it was for adult audiences since it was 18+, lol. It was actually really fun and the host was hilarious and drunk, which made things even funnier.
But yeah, that's what's been going on lately. I've been sleep deprived for too long. D: I still have a test next Monday and another paper due next Tuesday, so it looks like it's going to be a long weekend as well. :/

It's a Monday
Because I started my period this morning and almost got to school late, here's a hilarious video that Cam showed me earlier today. Because it's Monday. XD
I laughed so hard watching this. He's great. I'm not sure I'll ever be able to go to a public bathroom without thinking about this video. XD
Lol, it all started when I told Cam about how I always end up starting my period on a Monday that he told me to watch this video. I feel a lot better now even through my cramps. :P

Top Ten Tuesday: Finished Series I Have YET to Finish
Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by the Broke and Bookish.
It's been a while since I did one of these posts... Probably because I barely read anymore. However, I really want to finish these series, because I really like them! I posted the first books' covers for the series I want to finish reading.
